A look at the terminus from WV 10 North. Bearing to the left puts you on WV 971 South, and, if you are hungry, you can grab a slice at the local Pizza Hut.

(H.B. Elkins) Obstruction seems to be the common theme at the termini of WV 971. At the Northern Terminus it was foliage, here at the Southern Terminus, it's an upside down WV 97 shield. However obstructed or not, WV 971 does end here, at WV 97, in Baileysville.

Fortunately, not all the signs at the Southern Terminus are obstructed like these on WV 97 East.
