The Western Terminus of WV 9 is at the Maryland State Line at Paw Paw.
WV 9 becomes MD 51 once crossing the Potomac into Maryland. There
is not an 'END' sign present.

The Eastern Terminus of WV 9 is at the Virginia Line near Keys Gap.
Here, Tim is looking from Virginia into West Virginia. The state
line is at the beginning of the curve. Also of note, VA 9, which
WV 9 continues as once crossing into the Commonwealth of Virginia, crosses
over the Appalachian Trail here.
(Tim Reichard)
Another item found at the border crossing is a triangular state pylon.
Below, a close-up of the concrete marker.

Although faded, you can make out what appears to be hand painted and reads
'STATE' and the numbers '3355'.

Here is the first VA 9 East marker.
