WV 527 was originally only designated along
the bridge linking West Virginia and Ohio. It was later extended
to Interstate 64. (1)
The Northern Terminus of WV 527 is at the Ohio State Line over the Ohio
River in Huntington. Ohio does sign the bridge and highway from the
crossing to OH 7 as OH 527. In this photo below, H.B. is in Chesapeake,
Ohio at the northern terminus of this short two-state route. Ohio
includes a WV 527 shield in the photo. H.B. does report that OH 527
shields do exist at this intersection.

The bridge crossing the Ohio River is shown in the background and you can
barely make out the white Welcome To West Virginia overhead sign as well.

The Southern Terminus of WV 527 is at Interstate 64 and WV
152 in Huntington. WV 527 and 152 share the same terminus at
I-64.

A view from the Northern Terminus of WV 152 shows WV 527 North continuing
straight ahead towards Huntington.

Motorists exiting I-64 has a choice of two routes for two directions.
