In the spring of 2002, WV 279 was born. It
serves as a partially controlled access link between I-79 and US 50 on
the northeast outskirts of the two cities.

The Western Terminus of WV 279 is at Interstate 79 north of Clarksburg.
This shot looks at the beginning of Route 279 East from County Route 707.
