Eastern Terminus |

WI 142's Eastern Terminus is at
I-94/US 41 (Exit 340) northwest of Kenosha. Continuing
east beyond this interchange into Kenosha is CTH-S, which was,
in fact, a continuation of WI 142 until 1992, when the
jurisdiction of the highway east of I-94/US 41 was transferred
to the county. This is due to the proximity of WI 158,
which exists less than 1.5 miles to the south of CTH-S for its

Located in the median of WI 142
immediately west of I-94/US 41 is the first reassurance marker
in the westbound direction, which sits atop a distance sign for
WI 142's ultimate destination, Burlington. The
southwestern Racine County community is located 17 miles to the
northwest of this location. WI 142 starts out as
four-lanes divided to the west of I-94/US 41, but quickly
