PA 97 

Erie County North End: Erie
Erie County South End: Union City
Adams County North End: Gettysburg
Adams County South End: Maryland Line near Littlestown

There are two PA 97's one in Erie County.  The other is in Adams County.  Adams County 97 replaced the former US 140.


Erie County:

The Northern Terminus of PA 97 is in Erie at PA 8.  PA 8's Northern Terminus at US 20 is only a few blocks away at this point.

The Southern Terminus of PA 97 is also at PA 8 but in Union City just north of US 6.
Adams County:

The Northern Terminus of PA 97 in Adams County is at US 15 just outside of Gettysburg.  PA 97 follows the historic Baltimore Pike.  When the roadway was known as US 140 it continued past the National Cemetery before ending at what is now US 15 Business.

The Northern Terminus of PA 97 is located at a large Outlet Mall.  Above, a photo of the first PA 97 South Shield. 

PA 97's Southern Terminus is at the Maryland State line south of Littletown.

The above photo shows PA 97 after entering the Keystone State.

 PA 97 becomes MD 97 after crossing the Mason-Dixon Line. MD 97 Ends at US 29 in Silver Spring, Maryland.  Just outside of Washington, D.C.
