Southbound on PA 896 at the Maryland state line. There is no end sign in place, nor a Welcome to Maryland sign. Instead, the pavement change and intersection warning sign are the only signs that this is Maryland.

Unsigned Maryland 896 exists for a very short distance (hence no Maryland welcome signage). An intersection exists with Little Egypt Road (which links to MD 273) before MD 896 turns the corner and becomes DE 896. Another pavement change indicates that one crosses the state line with Delaware. This view looks Northbound at the transition back to Maryland from the First State.
