Many Thanks to John and Barb Bee for photos of PA 601.

The Northern Terminus of PA 601 is at PA 56 in Paint.  This photo adds a little controversy to this end.  This photo is taken from the old alignment of PA 56 in Scalp Level.  Currently, PA 56 is a 4-lane divided highway which is just ahead in the photo.  The couple reported that an 'END' sign was not present in the area.

The Southern Terminus of PA 601 is at PA 281 in Somerset.
