The Northern Terminus of PA 436 is at PA 36 on the
western outskirts of Punxsutawney. If Bradford is known for the x46's
and Sharon for the x18s, Punxsutawney is known for the x36s. PA
36, 436, and 536 are all located here.
As recently as the early 1980s, PA 236 and 336 existed to the south and
east of town.

and vice versa. Travelers on PA 36 when approaching PA 436 come across
