(David Brunot) This dusk photo shows the Northern Terminus of PA 38 at US 322 near Van. If you thought Van was an odd name, the last town PA 38 goes through is Nickleville.

The Southern Terminus of PA 38 is at PA 68 and US 422 in Butler. The above phove was taken in 2001 before a reconfiguration of the PA 38/68 interchange with US 422. At that time, an 'END' PA 38 shield was posted.

After the itnerchange rebuild, new signs were posted; however, an 'END' PA 38 shield was omitted.

This is the view of the start of PA 38 North from PA 68 East. A left turn puts traffic onto PA 38. A right turn is the onramp to US 422 West. Before the interchange reconfiguration, traffic wanting to go onto US 422 West had to turn left onto PA 38 North and then left onto the ramp for 422 West.

Now John is at the actual end of PA 38. PA 68 runs left to right; if you go straight, you are on the onramp to US 422 West.
