The Northern Terminus of PA 356 is at the US 422 Expressway west of Butler.
Although this is a great photo showing the area near this end, an "END"
sign is not present in this location, and the PA 422 shield is an error.
PA 356 uses the old alignment of US 422 from the designation's western
terminus to Butler.

However, this hand written 'END' LWS sits at the underpass. 8000
series SR's are typically reserved for interchange ramps.
