The Southern Terminus of PA 225 is at US 22/322 in Dauphin. Again, Tim Reichard has provided photos and information about PA 225. The southern terminus of the new PA 225 is at the new US 22/US 322 Dauphin bypass a mile west of Dauphin. No END PA 225 shield was present, but the little white signs for SR 0225 (PA 225) and SR 8045 (ramp) are easily found. With the completion of the Dauphin bypass, PA 225 was relocated from the streets of Dauphin to a northern two-lane bypass with a large interchange with US 22/US 322.

Before the Dauphin bypass was built in the late 1990s and completed in late 2000, PA 225 followed a different route along this street in downtown Dauphin. The clues are on the stop sign at the left and the barricade at the right.

On the back of the stop sign is a remaining little white sign for old PA 225, and the "10" indicates that the southernmost segment of the road begins here and heads to the right, toward the barricade.

Looking a little beyond the barricade, one can see Stony Creek. PA 225
crossed this creek on a bridge not too long ago, but the bridge was removed
and access to this street eliminated when the new PA 225 was built to the
west. Though difficult to see in the photo, but easy to see in person,
the US 22/US 322 alignment is just beyond the embankment on the far shore
of the creek. Just left of center is a cut in the mountain, and next to
the cut is the expressway. The expressway at that point moves slightly
to the left as it approaches the camera, then curves to the right and off
the photo edge before reaching the camera.
