North End: Between Jacksonville and Aultman
South End: South of Derry

The Northern Terminus of PA 217 is at PA 286 in a rural area of Indiana County.

The Southern Terminus of PA 217 is at US 30 in Westmoreland County.  US 30 is a divided highway through here.  It is divided at this point via Loyalhanna Creek.  US 30 East is in the background, while the cars in the photograph are at the traffic light for US 30 West.  The below photo is of a dam that is off to the right.
