West End: McConnellsburg

East End: Maryland State Line; Liberty Township, Adams County

(Jay Rotz) The Western Terminus of PA 16 is at US 522 in McConnellsburg. The final mile of PA 16 is part of the original Lincoln Highway and also part of old US 30. In the photo above, the Lincoln Highway and what was once US 30 West would continue straight at this intersection. Modern day US 30 is routed on a two lane limited access bypass a mile to the north.

There is not an 'END' sign present at the western terminus. This photo shows an East PA 16 sign from US 522 South.

(Jason Ilyes) The Eastern Terminus of PA 16 is at the Maryland State Line in Liberty Township near the village of Zora.

There is not an 'END' sign present but Jay Rotz did a photo of the first PA 16 West shield and a cluster of important signs usually found at a state line crossing.

Here, PA 16 becomes MD 140 once crossing the border. Emmitsburg, MD and Mt. St. Mary's College is one mile ahead.
