U.S. Route 127

Southern Entrance: Kentucky State Line, downtown Cincinnati. | Northern Entrance: Michigan State Line, 5 miles northwest of Fayette.

Southern Entrance

This overhead signage is on south US 42 / US 127 (west 3rd Street) in downtown Cincinnati, at the northern approach to the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge, which carries US 25, US 42, and US 127 across the Ohio River and into Kentucky. This bridge is accessible via a left turn at the upcoming intersection. The JCT text above the US 25 shield on the guide sign refers to this point being the start of south US 25. Ohio does not recognize the US 25 designation, but Kentucky does. Because Kentucky maintains the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge, the US 25 designation is carried up to the northern end of the bridge.

Meanwhile, here is the north US 25 / US 42 / US 127 multiplex as it crosses into Ohio. As a part of the Fort Washington Way reconstruction project, a ramp was opened that carries north US 42 onto the new 2nd Street. US 25 and US 127 continue on to 3rd Street. At that point, the US 25 designation comes to an end. US 127 follows 3rd Street east for one block before turning onto north Central Avenue.
