Ohio Route 98 |
|
Southern Terminus |
|
The southern terminus of OH 98 is at a very unusual intersection in Waldo, just west of US 23. Three routes end at this one intersection. Not only is this the southern end of OH 98, but it is also the eastern terminus of OH 47 and the southern terminus of OH 423. Here is the view of the intersection from the end of southbound OH 98. There is no END signage present here. |

Here, James is facing the start of northbound OH 98, with the zero mile marker in the foreground. In the background is the first reassurance marker for northbound OH 98, and beyond that, an interchange with US 23. |

This is a view from southbound OH 423 as it approaches the starting point for both OH 47 and OH 98. |

Northern Terminus |
|
After multiplexing with OH 61 for a mile, northbound OH 98 comes to an end at an intersection with OH 603 in downtown Plymouth, on the Richland - Huron County Line (noted by the green sign above the OH 603 shield). OH 61 continues straight ahead through this intersection, which also marks the northern terminus of OH 603. There is no END signage for OH 98 present at this terminus either. |

This is a close-up of the OH 603 shield facing northbound OH 61 / OH 98 at OH 98's northern terminus, along with an adjacent OH 98 shield that is seemingly hiding behind the OH 603 marker, though it is actually clearly visible from northbound OH 603. Again, note the county line sign above the shields. |

Here is the perspective of the start of OH 98 from northbound OH 603. Note that an OH 61 shield is situated at a very high position on the pole, isolated from the OH 98 and OH 603 shields, due to the positioning of the lamps on the pole. |
