Ohio Route 800

Southern Terminus: OH 7, Fly, Monroe County. | Northern Terminus: I-77, Canton, Stark County.

About OH 800

Designated in 1970, OH 800 follows the former routing of OH 8 between Fly and Canton. With the completion of I-77 between Canton and Akron in the late 1960s, as well as the completion of the OH 8 freeway by-pass of Akron during the same time frame, OH 8 was truncated back to the eastern junction of I-76 and I-77 near downtown Akron, and the OH 800 designation was born.

Southern Terminus

OH 800's southern terminus is at the end of a descent into the Ohio River Valley at OH 7 in Fly. No END signage is present for OH 800 here.

Bonus Coverage

A reminder of times past can be seen in the hamlet of Fly today. Being that this was once the southern terminus of OH 8, a business located there sports the name "7 & 8", which Jason speculates is a tavern.
