Western Terminus: US 23, Lucasville. | Eastern Terminus: Scioto County Road 28, 2 miles east of Lucasville.

Western Terminus

OH 728, a short spur route which serves the Southern Ohio Correctional Institute, has its western terminus at US 23 in Lucasville. The same intersection also marks the eastern end of OH 348. Presented here are the adjacent JCT OH 348 and JCT OH 728 shields that stand on northbound US 23 as it approaches the aforementioned intersection.

Eastern Terminus

Approximately 2 miles east of US 23, eastbound OH 728 abruptly comes to an end, and becomes Scioto County Road 28. There is no END signage present for OH 728 at this terminus. However, there are three other indications of the transition here: an end to the white edge lines on the roadway, the first County Road 28 marker, and the zero mile marker beneath the County Road 28 marker.
