Woodville Mall, a major shopping center in Northwood, is located at the corner of OH 579 and OH 51. These OH 579 and OH 51 shields are located at an exit from the mall parking lot to OH 579.

Eastern Terminus

While OH 579's western terminus is located just outside of a major suburban mall, its eastern terminus is in the midst of a heavily rural area at OH 2, just south of the Ottawa - Lucas County Line.
