| The western terminus of OH 571 is in
Union City at the Indiana State Line. The border goes right through
the middle of the community along State Line Street, subdividing what
would typically be a singular municipality into two distinctive entities.
Upon crossing State Line Street at a four-way stop intersection, OH 571
turns into IN 28, which in just two blocks will meet with
IN 32
for a brief multiplex through the downtown of Union City on the Indiana

| In 2005, Ohio started replacing the blue
"Ohio Welcomes You" signs that previously stood at state line crossings
with new white-on-green "Welcome to Ohio" signs. Such is the case at
the transition of IN 28 into OH 571 in Union City. The first OH 571
East reassurance marker stands just after the aforementioned "Welcome to
