Northern Terminus

The Northern Terminus of OH 108 is at the Michigan State Line northwest of Oak Shade. The highway continuing into the Wolverine State is M-156. Travelers crossing the border northbound are greeted by the first reassurance marker for M-156 North, along with a sign for Morenci, whose city limits abut the state line.

Here is the view looking south from Michigan into Ohio at the transition of M-156 into OH 108. This photo illustrates how the termini of Michigan state highways are normally signed. While the standard in Ohio (and most other states) is to put an END plate above the route shield, the Michigan specification is to put an ENDS plate beneath the shield.
