Northern Terminus |

After by-passing Cleveland to the south and east, I-271 arrives at its northern terminus at I-90 (Exit 188) in Willoughby Hills, at the three-level stack interchange shown here.
At its northern endpoint, I-271 is in an express / local configuration. The sign gantry featuring the END I-271 sign is present in the express lanes. The express lanes for I-271 South split off at Exit 190 off of I-90 West, but the local lanes do not split until Exit 188, where the main interchange is located. |
