Ohio Route 85 |
OH 86 > |
| For traffic using US 6, the combination of OH 85 and PA 285 will shave about 12 miles off of the route. The reason for this is the Pyamatuning Reservoir, a popular fishing and outdoor recreation destination in southeastern Ashtabula County that is generally bisected by the border between Ohio and Pennsylvania. US 6 is routed to the north of the lake, while OH 85 and PA 285 cross the middle of the lake by means of a causeway. |

| The western terminus of OH 85 is at a traffic
circle in downtown Andover, where it meets US 6 and OH 7. A right turn
one quarter of the way around the circle places traffic onto US 6 East/OH
7 North. US 6 West is accessible by going halfway around the circle, and
a turn three-quarters of the way around the circle leads to OH 7 South. PHOTO # 1: Dan Garnell, July 26, 2004. |

| OH 85's eastern terminus is in an unusual
spot: in the middle of a lake! Specifically, the Pymatuning Reservoir,
where OH 85 meets the Pennsylvania State Line and turns into PA 285. This
is the final OH 85 East marker, located just after a traffic light with
a road that leads to Pyamatuning
State Park. PHOTO # 1: David Brunot. |
