US 521

US 521 is one of the shorter US highways within North Carolina.  Running from the South Carolina State Line northwards to Interstate 485 near Pineville.  US 521 only runs for four miles within the Tar Heel State.  Over the years US 521 has had a number of different termini in and around Charlotte.  From near Uptown, to Interstate 85 just north of the airport, to this most recent end at I-485.

From I-485 West, the beginning of US 521 South.  For about a decade, US 521 continued on I-485 West to the South Blvd. Interchange (Exit 65).  From there US 521 followed South Blvd. to Billy Graham Parkway until it ended at Interstate 85 north of Charlotte-Douglass International Airport.
