North End: Edenton

South End: Swan Quarter

Sometime in 2000, NC 94 was extended to the
North and South. The Northern Extension pushed Highway 94 westward
along US 64 through Columbia and over Albemarle Sound with NC 32.
NC 94 then breaks off 32 along Soundside Road before returning to NC 32
at the Northern Terminus. The Southern Extension also saw NC 94 head
west, this time along US 264, before terminating at NC 45 in Swan Quarter.

The Northern Terminus of NC 94 is at NC 32 near Edenton.
The photo was taken from NC 32 North. The road coming in from the
right is Yeopim Road. NC 94 serves the Community of Cape Colony before
returning to NC 32 and crossing the Albemarle Sound.

The Southern Terminus of NC 94 is at NC 45 in Swan
Quarter. This view is from NC 45 North behind me is the access road
to the Swan Quarter Ferry.

The first NC 94 North shield. There is not an 'END' sign present
at the terminus.
