The Western Terminus of NC 92 is at the intersection of US 264 and 17 in Washington. NC 92 is multiplexed with US 264 its final miles westward to this point in Washington.  The traffic traveling behind the signs is continuing on US 264 West.

The Eastern Terminus of NC 92 is in the tiny community of Gaylord, a few miles east of Bayview.  NC 92 ends at NC 99 and NC 306.  All three routes end at this intersection.  NC 99 begins straight ahead.  A right turn puts you on NC 306 and a ferry across the Pamlico River.
