West End: VA/NC Line Near Edmonds

East End: US 311 Near Walnut Cove

Bonus Coverage:
NC 89 continues as VA 89; however upon entering Virginia the direction
of the route changes to North/South. VA 89 continues North until
its Northern Terminus in Galax, Virginia. The route terminates without
an 'END' sign at US 58/221. Carter
Buchanan and I were there in August of 2001.

The Western Terminus of NC 89 is at the VA Line East of Edmonds. The state
line crossing comes on a very wooded chute near the Blue Ridge Parkway.
