NC 73

West End: Goodsonville

East End: Eastwood

If there is one consistant thing about NC 73, it is that the ends of this lengthy state route is poorly marked. This numbering may change if NC follows its past history. Because of I-73 making inroads into the state, NC 73 may have an interesting future ahead of it. Will it die completely? Become a new number? Be split up? Stay tuned...

The Western Terminus of NC 73 is at NC 27 in Goodsonville near Licolnton. Chris Curley got this photo and reports that besides no END sign at the terminus there is no advance warning of NC 27. The only sign for 73 on 27 is the JCT signs on both directions of highway 27.

The Eastern Terminus of NC 73 is in Eastwood at US 15/501. This is slightly better marked as US 15/501 has JCT and directionals to NC 73 and NC 73 has JCT 15/501 but no END sign. Chris Curley also took this photo.
