If you would continue straight at NC 522's Northern Terminus, you would then be on Rocky River Road. The photo above shows the beginning of NC 522 from Rocky River Road.

(Chris Curley) The Southern Terminus of NC 522 is at the South Carolina State Line a few miles south of Roughedge.
