North End: Creedmoor

South End: Topsail Beach

(Jimmy Storey) The Northern Terminus of NC 50 is in Creedmoor at US 15 and NC 56. NC 50 is multiplexed with NC 56 for its final 500 or so feet. In this photo, traffic continuing west on NC 56 would be turning left and would make a immediate turn right to stay on Highway 56. Jimmy also noted that there is a 'BEGIN' NC 50 sign, and in February of 2002 took the photo below.

What is odd is that the BEGIN sign is located AFTER, yes I said AFTER, the first NC 50 shield not many feet before the above BEGIN sign. You can get the idea from Jimmy's photo below.

(Chuck Esserwein) The Southern Terminus of NC 50 is in Topsail Beach. Fortunately, there is an 'END' NC 50 sign standing here.

There is not a 'BEGIN' NC 50 shield, but here is a shot of the first North NC 50 shield on Topsail Island.
