The Western Terminus of NC 481 is at NC 4/48
in Glenview. There is not an 'END' sign present here.

A view from NC 4/48 North. The NC 4 shield is not present with the
481 sign. However, the set of shields in the background include the
NC 4 trailblazer.
Business Route: Enfield
In November of 2002, a brief bypass of Enfield carrying NC 481 opened.
As a result, the old route was renamed as 'Business' 481. This short
two mile business route ends at highway 481 to the west of town (Western
Terminus shown below) and at US 301/NC 481 in central Enfield.

The new bypass was opened to provide an alternative to an at-grade rail
crossing along the old alignment. The bypass has a more modern at-grade
crossing with the CSX line. Below, a photo of the first NC 481 Business
West shield.

The Eastern Terminus of NC 481 is at NC 561 in Tillery.
