North End: Hamlet

South End: SC State Line South of Hamlet

(Adam Prince) The Northern Terminus of NC 38 is at US 74 Business in Hamlet. At the time the photo was taken (December 2000), the above signs were incorrect. Former mainline US 74 became Business US 74 ten days earlier. NCDOT hadn't updated any signs along the former US 74. The signs have since been corrected.

(Lyndon Young) The Southern Terminus of NC 38 is at the South Carolina State Line about six miles south of the Northern Terminus. At this point, it transforms into SC 38. SC 38 ends at US 501 in Sellers. If you have a photo of the South Carolina end please e-mail me.
