NC 3

North End: Mooresville
South End: Concord

On March 3, 2003, the modern NC 3 appeared on the scene.  The designation was placed on the former alignment of NC 136, its number the day before.  NC 136 has taken the place of the old NC 3 in Currituck County.

The Northern Terminus of NC 3 is at NC 150 in Mooresville.  There is not an 'END' sign present at the terminus.

The Southern Terminus of NC 3 is at US 601/NC 73 Truck in Concord.  This was taken less than one week after the switch from 136 to NC 3.
