North End: Tapoco

South End: Georgia State Line near Highlands

(Nicholas Mooneyhan) The Northern Terminus of NC 28 is at US 129 in Tapoco. NC 28 ends about one mile south of the Tennessee line.

There is not an 'END' NC 28 sign present at the terminus. The first South NC 28 shield is found soon after turning onto highway 28.

The Southern Terminus of NC 28 is at the Georgia State Line south of Highlands. Highway 28 is a three state route as it also enters South Carolina before returning to Georgia near Augusta. Have a photos of the Southern End or the South Carolina/Georgia Line crossings, please e-mail me.
