(Jimmy Storey) The Northern Terminus of NC 217 is at US 421/NC 55 in Erwin. This location is also the Western Terminus of NC 82.

The Northern Terminus is also where NC 55 leaves US 421 North.

There is not an 'END' NC 217 shield present at the terminus. The above photos shows the first South NC 217 and East NC 82 shields.

The Southern Terminus of NC 217 is at US 401 near Linden. NC 217 has a forked end.

The North fork follows an old alignment of US 15-A and it is noted at the intersection. (Adam Prince)

I consider the South fork as the mainline NC 217. It is the more direct route to US 401 South. Below, signage from US 401 North at the South 217 fork.
