The Northern Terminus of NC 216 is at NC 274 about
3 miles south of Cherryville.

The Southern Terminus of NC 216 is at the SC Line North of Kings Mountain
National Battlefield. It continues into South Carolina as SC 216.
I believe it ends at the entrance to the park.

I visited the park in March 2001. SC 216 is signed, shown above just
inside the state line, but of course there is no clue on what happens next
or where it ends.

Both states sign the border crossing well. The Welcome to North Carolina
Sign blocks the view of my car sitting on Dixon School Road. NC/SC
216 is known as Battleground Rd.
