NC 210

North End: Smithfield
Directional Switch: Unknown
East End: Dixon

NC 210 is one of the rare state highways that actually has possibly two cardinal direction changes from East/West to North/South and back to East/West along its designation.  Where they may be (and if there are two) I am currently unsure.

The Northern Terminus of NC 210 is at US 70 Business in Smithfield.  However, as you will see in the photo below, NC 210 is signed East/West at this point.

As you can see, this would be an eastern terminus of NC 210; however along the coast in Dixon, it is also the "Eastern End".  So somewhere between Smithfield and Fayetteville, NC 210 goes from East/West to North/South.  If you are able to figure out where that is and get photos, you know what to do.

Somewhere between Fayetteville and Wilmington, NC 210 goes from North/South to East/West.  Do you know where that is or have a photo of the switch? Send me an e-mail.

The Eastern Terminus of NC 210 is at US 17 in Dixon.  Although this is the eastern end, you are actually facing west.

A morning look at the terminus along US 17 North.
