(Chris Patriarca) The Northern Terminus of NC 198 is at NC 180 in Earl. There is not an 'END' sign is not present here. The first NC 198 shield, although banner-less, is captured in the left corner.

(Chris Patriarca) The Southern Terminus of NC 198 is at the South Carolina State Line a few miles south of Earl.

(Lyndon Young) NC 198 continues as SC 198 to US 29/SC 5 in Blacksburg, SC. At the terminus, US 29 runs left to right, SC 5 East continues straight ahead towards York and a right turn puts you on SC 5 West.
