It is rare in North Carolina that an advance warning is given for a state
highway end. For the North end of NC 184 approaching Beech Mountain,
an exception is made. Below, Mark measured four miles in his car
to what he believes is the physical end of NC 184.

The Southern Terminus of NC 184 is at NC 105 near
Linville. There was no 'END' sign present.
