West End: Laurel Hill

East End: Wagram

(S.D. Rhodes) The Eastern Terminus of NC 144 is at US 74 in Laurel Hill. As you can see, there is an 'END' sign at the terminus. NC 144 was resurrected and first signed along this route in February of 2002.

When I took this snapshot in December of 2000, I had no idea that this intersection would become a terminus of a North Carolina State Highway. This is looking at the beginning of what would become NC 144 East from US 74 East.

(S.D. Rhodes) S.D. also took a photo of the newly signed route's Eastern Terminus at US 401 just outside of Wagram. You can just barely make out the END 144 shield to the right of the telephone pole.
