NC 128

North End: Mt. Mitchell State Park

South End: Blue Ridge Parkway

NC 128 is an interesting road. It does not touch any other state highway; rather it is a spur off the Blue Ridge Parkway to Mount Mitchell.

This photo, taken on Brian LeBlanc's and I trip to the park, shows the routing of NC 128 from the top of the Observation Tower at the peak of Mount Mitchell.

Mark Clifton provides this photo of the entrance to Mount Mitchell State Park. Is this the Northern Terminus or is the parking lot at the top of the mountain, as seen in the photo Brian took below, the end of NC 128.
