South End: US 21 North of Charlotte (near I-77 Exit 16)

The Northern Terminus of NC 115 at Business US 421, NC
18, and NC 268 in North Wilkesboro. One thing
that I noticed in this photo is that these are newer signs with wider numbers.
These shields replaced earlier signs

The Southern Terminus of NC 115 is at US 21 north of Charlotte. (Just East
of I-77 Exit 16) This view is from Statesville Road, which until
the early 1980's was part of US 21. A left turn here leads to I-77,
straight ahead is Huntersville. NC 115 is Old Statesville Road and
an early alignment of US 21.

Missing from this sign combination on US 21 South is a right turn arrow
as US 21 South turns onto Sunset Road and to I-77. US 21 had continued
straight ahead into Charlotte along Statesville Road.
