US 98 Business and To US 98
Until the summer of 2007, signage of US 98 through McComb and Summit was mostly incorrect. The former routing of US 98 along US 51 was signed as "US 98 Business." Meanwhile, the existing route along MS 24 and I-55 was mostly signed as "To US 98" with no cardinal direction. In Summer 2007, MDOT corrected all US 98 signage. MDOT removed all references to "US 98 Business" and "To US 98" while posting the proper signage for US 98.

Eastern Terminus

The eastern terminus of US 98 Business is at the US 51/US 98/MS 24 intersection in McComb. US 98 Business was not signed at this intersection, but it was signed along US 51.
