| Historic Western Terminus |
 The original terminus of US 90 and subsequently the second southern terminus of US 11 is at the Louisiana State Line southeast of Nicholson. Fallen trees over the road limits vehicular access to the entrance of the Santa Rosa Landfill. Photo by Robert Lee on 1/16/2006. For the descriptions of old US 90 below, Old Hwy 11 north is old US 90 EB; Old Hwy 11 south is old US 90 WB.  This is the view looking north on Old Hwy 11 (old US 90 EB). The road is called Old Hwy 11 because it was US 11 longer than it was US 90. The landfill entrance is on the left. The state line also serves as the western terminus of AL 16, a secret Alabama route that follows US 90 throughout Alabama. The "Alabama State Line" sign was missing at the time this photo was taken.
