![]() The southern terminus of US 65 was at US 61 in Natchez. US 65 is duplexed with US 84 from US 61 in Natchez, MS, to Ferriday, LA. According to Mississippi law, the southern terminus of US 65 was at the Louisiana State Line along US 61; however, there were no signs for US 65 along US 61. This was the view along US 61 NB, where the Mississippi River Bridge is used as the control destination instead of Vidalia, LA. When US 65 was replaced US 425, MDOT simply replaced all US 65 shields with US 425 shields. Photo taken by Robert Lee on 4/2/2005. ![]() The US 65 and US 84 shields along US 61 NB.
