Guide sign on MS 184 at US 84. Two oddities about the sign: (1) the horizontal line separating the control cities and (2) Silas, Ala. Photo by Robert Lee.
The close up of the above sign reveals that the control city was Coffeeville, AL. When US 84 opened, Coffeeville was the control city. On US 45, the control city was Silas, Ala. MDOT decided to change all 7 or 8 of the guide signs along US 84, MS 145, and MS 184 from Coffeeville to Silas, instead of changing the 4 signs on US 45 to Coffeeville. Photo by Robert Lee.

| Eastern Terminus |
The eastern terminus is at a dead end right at US 84 east of Waynesboro. The highway used to connect to US 84, but the connection was severed by MDOT. I'm guessing the reason for this was to cut down on the amount of cross-traffic at the US 45/MS 184 intersection. Photo by Robert Lee.
