Magee section

Southern Terminus The southern terminus of the Magee section of MS 149. Photo by Robert Lee on 7/17/2005.   Northern Terminus The northern terminus of the Magee section of MS 149 is at US 49 north of Sanatorium. Due to the close proximity of the MS 149/MS 545 semi-interchange, the northern terminus is not signed. This is the view on US 49 SB. MS 149 ties into the Frontage Road; access between US 49 and MS 149 is made by way of the Frontage Rd crossover. Photo by Robert Lee on 7/17/2005. This is the view as MS 149 begins. Mendenhall/Braxton section

Southern Terminus The southern terminus of the Mendenhall/Braxton section of MS 149, as well as the western terminus of MS 540, is at US 49 in Mendenhall. Photo taken by Robert Lee on 12/15/2006.   Historic Southern Terminus In 2006, the designation of Old Hwy 49 between MS 13 and US 49 was switched from MS 540 to MS 149. Clarksdale section

This section of MS 149 is not signed as MS 149, but it does appear on MDOT maps. Southern Terminus The southern terminus of the Clarksdale section of MS 149 is at US 49/61/278 in Clarksdale. This is the view on US 61/278 NB. Signage for MS 322, in the form of stand along shields just past this big green sign, has been added to connect the two parts between US 49 and MS 161.
