The MS 145 shield at the intersection. The contractor apparently ran short of some parts to attach the arrow to the post and merely attached the arrow to the shield. It was never corrected. Photo by Robert Lee on 10/23/2004.

This is the shields at the intersection with US 45. US 45 had been recently opened to 4-lane traffic at the time this photo was taken, so temporary warning signs and temporary additional stop signs were posted at every intersection along the newly opened stretch. Clarke/Lauderdale County section
Southern Terminus

The southern terminus of the Clarke/Lauderdale County section of MS 145 is at US 45 south of Quitman. The intersection is not signed because of the MS 145 interchange 2 miles straight ahead (north of here). Photo by Robert Lee on 10/23/2004.

This is how the intersection looked originally. The new Quitman bypass was completed, but the southernmost mile could not be opened because the next segment south was under construction and there was no room to build a temporary crossover where the two different segments met. Photo by Robert Lee.

Looking north on MS 145. There are no shields for MS 145. Aberdeen section
Southern Terminus

The southern terminus of the Aberdeen section of MS 145 is at US 45/MS 8/25 in Aberdeen. The problem is that the original signs are way too big (See also the MS 8 and MS 25 shields in the bacckground). MDOT maintenance replaced a missing super-sized US 45 shield with a normal-sized. Secondly, this advanced turn MS 145 shield on US 45 NB shows US 145 instead of MS 145. Photo by Robert Lee on 1/3/2005.
