Western Entrance |
| The westernmost US 2 crossing of the Wisconsin State Line is in the far western end of the Upper Peninsula as
it goes across the Montreal River in Ironwood. Upon crossing into the Badger State, US 2 immediately meets US 51 at a trumpet interchange which marks its northern terminus,
along with the western terminus of BUS US 2. In fact, the JCT US 51 shield is located on the Michigan
side of the Montreal River! (PHOTO # 1: Robert Halonen | August 23, 2003) |

| Here is the scene along US 2 East as it makes its way into the Wolverine State for the first time. The ramp merging
in comes from US 51 North. (PHOTO # 2: Robert Halonen | August 23, 2003) |

| A Michigan Welcome Center is situated on the south side of US 2 about 0.25 mile east of the state line. An older guide sign
at the exit of the driveway to the Welcome Center gives motorists two choices: turn right and continue on into the Wolverine State, or make a left and head for
the Badger State. (PHOTO # 3: Jody Aho | May 23, 2003) |

The eastern terminus of US 2 is at a seven-ramp parclo interchange with I-75 in St. Ignace, 0.5 mile north of the lone connector
between the Upper and Lower Peninsulas, the Mackinac Bridge. At the interchange, US 2 transitions into
BL I-75, which follows the former routing of US 2 through St. Ignace before meeting up with
I-75 again north of town. (PHOTO # 1: Rich Rowland | June 21, 2002) |

The Lake Michigan Circle Tour and the Lake Huron Circle Tour
converge upon I-75 in Mackinaw City, cross the Mackinac Bridge, and diverge at this interchange, with the Lake Michigan Circle Tour following US 2 and the Lake Huron Circle Tour using
BL I-75 through St. Ignace. (PHOTO # 2: Neil Bratney | June 10, 2002) |
