US 23 departs the State of Michigan at the
Ohio State Line, concurrently with
US 223,
southwest of Lambertville. US 223 meets with its parent route 5
miles north of the Ohio border. From there, it is routed onto US 23,
and the two routes concurrently head south into Ohio to the
interchange US 23 has with
OH 51 and
OH 184 in
Sylvania, 0.75 mile into the Buckeye State, where US 223 comes to an

The Northern Terminus of US 23 is at I-75
(Exit 338) in Mackinaw City, approximately 1 mile south of the
Mackinac Bridge. As a result of a recent re-signing project,
there are now two US 23 ENDS shield assemblies in place here.
The first one, which is shown in Photo # 1, is paired off with
a JCT M-108 shield. Photo #2 shows the shield assembly in place
where US 23 intersects

before it meets I-75. As for the second US 23 ENDS assembly,
which is featured in Photo # 3, it is situated at the point

These two pictures show the exit signage
in place along I-75 South leading up to the US 23 interchange.
This is a partial interchange, with access permissible only from US 23
North to I-75 North, and from I-75 South to US 23 South. Access
from US 23 North to I-75 South and from I-75 North to US 23 South
